Our community has grown so much over the past 25 years. Together, we have built a network of people dedicated to supporting LGBTQ young people, advocating for their rights, and making sure the world becomes a better place for them. Every person in this growing community of care has unique strengths and passions, whether that’s dancing, pottery, advocacy, running, or reading. Join us in celebrating each other and Trevor’s 25th Anniversary in our 25 Minute Strut Your Strengths Facebook Challenge!

This virtual fundraising challenge is all about what makes you special — and raising funds for The Trevor Project while doing it. You can join the Facebook group now and start fundraising today. Then on March 1, you can officially log your 25 minutes of daily activity of your choice. Join our community on Facebook who are showcasing their skills and interests in support of Trevor!

Follow these simple steps to join our Strut Your Strengths Challenge:

While our community struts their strengths, the money they raise helps The Trevor Project continue to provide free, confidential 24/7 suicide prevention and crisis services. This effort will also support Trevor’s ongoing public education, advocacy, and research initiatives, all in hopes of building that world where LGBTQ young people are safe and free to be themselves.

Together, we can help end suicide for LGBTQ young people. Thank you so much for your support and best of luck with the challenge!

You can log your minutes in Messenger by typing “Menu” then enter, and click the “Record minutes” button, then enter your achieved minutes and click the word “Submit.” Please note that the menu has multiple tiles.

Q: What if my minutes are incorrect or I receive an error?

A: To correct your total activity in Messenger, type “Menu” then enter, click on “Record minutes” and then click “Edit my total minutes.” Let us know if you still experience issues.

Q: How do we participate as a team?

A: When you register in Messenger, you will be prompted to take on the challenge solo or as a team. Follow the prompts to build out your team!

Q: What do I do if I started a Facebook fundraiser for The Trevor Project but not specifically for the challenge?

A: A Facebook fundraiser for The Trevor Project is the same as a fundraiser for this challenge. Thanks for supporting Trevor’s mission!

Train the Trainer: New Educational Program for LGBTQ+ Allies

When inclusive spaces come under attack by lawmakers across the country, the need for education grows greater. When adults are given the proper tools and training, they transform into supportive allies, which can make all the difference in defending against those attacks.  At The Trevor Project, our Education team helps adults (educators, coaches, community leaders and more) understand the needs of LGBTQ+ young people. We equip them with the knowledge they need to affirm, uplift, and advocate for those young people. We empower people to become the best allies they can be — especially important considering the impact supportive adults…
